Bhavani Foundation spearheading CSR initiatives

Once again, Bhavani Foundation has accomplished a wonderful exercise in a small village near Karjat – Khalapur Area, in the village of Bhilavale with very less population. Almost all the inhabitants here belong to economically weaker section and neither do they have access to proper education system. Therefore, we at Bhavani Foundation decided to do our bit for this village. In a planned manner, we distributed study material to the school children in this village.

On 13th July 2019, Bhavani foundation donated School study materials to the Zilla Parishad School Bhilavale, Bhilavale Thakurwadi, Pirkatwadi, Bid Khurd, Kharvai and Mankivali School and also undertook a Tree Plantation drive at these schools. Around 600 students were present to avail the facility of book donation.

Bhavani Foundation particularly takes responsibility for 2 schools namely Bhilavale & Bhilavale Thakurwadi in the Bhilavale village.

The programme started at 11 a.m. with the welcome of foundation members. On this occasion, Mr. K. D. Shetty in his speech said “As far as knowledge is concerned, we should not underestimate our regional language. Studying in a vernacular medium school should be encouraged if it facilitates gaining knowledge”.

Quoting from the illustrious example of Dr. Kalam, former President of India and a renowned aerospace scientist, Mr. Shetty said that Dr. Abdul Kalam was also a vernacular medium student but his determination to learn made him a person who is now synonymous as an identity of our nation.

Elaborating, Mr. Shetty added, “As a community, we should not always blame the government and instead bring about a change for the betterment of this community and so we have pledged to work for our society & for our future generation.”

Later the members shared their precious insights and motivated the school students along with their parents and assured to do more in the near future as well.

The function concluded on a cheerful note by Mr. Murlidhar Palve and local Grampanchayat members.

We, at Bhavani Foundation, have always known our responsibility towards our society and are on a constant hunt for opportunities to contribute for it.

One such recent opportunity turned into a great success on 19th January 2019 where a Blood Donation Drive was organized by our team. In association with the Tata Memorial Hospital, the blood donation camp ran from 10.30 am to 5 pm, dedicating over 6 hours of the day to serve our bit for betterment. This motivated everyone at the premises to come forward and serve as a helping hand thus, enabling us to donate 111 units of blood.

Dr Pranita of the Tata Memorial Hospital, Kharghar shared that the 111 units of blood donated will actually multiply and will help 3 times of the original number, that is 333 patients. This information fulfilled our intention of helping the maximum number of patients.

"It is been noticed that the Schools in the remote areas have always been neglected by the Government. Because of which students are deprived of education. Such schools need helping hand & because of our assistance if somebody is getting benefitted we are always there to help. "

Bhavani Foundation did not just stop with that, they provided complete assistance in the renovation work of the schools. The total expenditure touched Rs. 10 lacs.

Without the assistance of any contractor & with the help of Bhavani Foundation, the village people themselves took the initiative of repairing the schools. The renovation work was completed on 25th Jan 2017 & on 26th Jan 2017 the school was inaugurated.

In spite of the rapid and remarkable conquests of medical science today, there is no laboratory that manufactures blood.
