Bhavani Group Honoured With Excellence Award As Stevedores By Mpa, GOA

Mormugao Port Authority, one of the major ports in India, recently organized its Annual Awards Ceremony 2023 at Vasco Goa on 5th May 2023. The event was a celebration of the port’s achievements and a recognition of the hard work and dedication of their employees and stakeholders.

The ceremony saw the best employees from all departments of the port honored with awards and appreciation certificates for their exceptional contributions throughout the year. Additionally, awards were presented to stakeholders who demonstrated outstanding performance in various areas related to the port’s growth.

Bhavani Group was one of the recipients of the award, which was presented to Mr. Jeekshith K. Shetty, Managing Director, for their outstanding and top-notch work as stevedores in cargo handling at Mormugao Port. operated alongside BERTH, WEST OF BREAKWATER (WOB), AND MOORING DOLPHINS during the year 2022–23. In this year, Bhavani Group has handled 30 various types of vessels, including capesize vessels carrying different types of bulk cargoes that consist of 846800 metric tons of iron ore, 601865 metric tons of coal, 165248 metric tons of pig iron, and 55000 metric tons of slag. The total cargo handled by Bhavani Group at MPT in the year 2022–23 is 1.68 million tons. The company’s dedication to provide excellent services has undoubtedly contributed to the success of the Mormugao Port Authority, as evidenced by their outstanding work. The awards and appreciation certificates were presented by the Chief Guest, Shri Navraj Goyal, IRS, Commissioner of Customs, Goa, Dr. N. Vinod Kumar, IPoS Chairperson, and Shri M. Guruprasad Rai, Dy Chairman, Capt. Himanshu Shekhar, Traffic Manager, Jerome Clement Sr. DY. Traffic Manager, were also in attendance to honor and congratulate the deserving recipients.
