The gift of blood is the gift of life.

“Blood Donation” is the most valued service to mankind. Nothing can be compared to the preciousness of human blood. “Bhavani Foundation” believes, “The gift of blood is the gift of life”. Hence there’s no substitute for human blood as blood cannot be manufactured, it only comes from one such generous donor as a sign of humanity that unites people irrespective of caste, creed, religion, and more.

Bhavani Foundation with the express co-operation of Tata Memorial Hospital, Parel had organized its 5th Annual blood donation camp on 15th of February, 2020 which was indeed an enthusiastic turnout. The Blood Donation camp was held from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm, and about 200 people including family members of Bhavani Group, well-wishers, and office bearers from other companies of the building premises had willingly participated. A total of 125 units of blood was collected.  Ms. Neelam Of Tata Memorial Hospital, Parel informed that the 125 units of blood donated will multiply and will help 3 times the original number. This fulfilled our intention of helping the maximum number of targeted patients.

This camp became significant because the renowned Dr. Narayan.B.Iyer was called upon as the chief guest of this function. He is the co-founder and CEO of the Indian Development Foundation (IDF). Mother Teresa, Pope John Paul II, Shri Atal Behari Vajpayee, Dr. Manmohan Singh, Dr. API Abdul Kalam, Shri Pranab Mukherjee, Dr. Yunus Mohd, His holiness The Dalai Lama, Sir Rata Tata, Nobel Laureate Shri Kailash Satyarthi, and many more are some of the eminent personalities he has interacted within his lifetime. While talking about the initiative, Dr. Narayan.B.Iyer mentioned that IDF and Bhavani Foundation would be obliged to join hands together in assisting societies, providing necessary means, and make India a better place to have a healthy living.

Mr. Karunakar Shetty appreciated the initiative taken by Bhavani Foundation and said he was glad to be part of this prestigious occasion. Mr. Karunakar Shetty is a logistician, sports enthusiast, entrepreneur, a renowned and dynamic personality in the logistics industry.

Ms. Vaidehi Pagaria, Head CSR of Pagaria Foundation also complimented the efforts taken by Bhavani Foundation towards such a noble cause. Mr. Sunil Suthar, President of BJP Youth Wing Navi Mumbai who had also joined us for this noble cause praised and expressed satisfaction for all the initiatives taken by Bhavani Foundation.

The first and foremost advantage of donating blood is the exalted feeling of saving someone’s life. Bhavani Foundation is indeed thankful for all those who were part of this noble cause and supported us in all possible ways. We are hoping for more participation from our fraternity in the coming needful times and in saving more lives. “Bhavani Foundation” believes, that blood donation is an important procedure in saving human life. Hence it is a great initiative that must be encouraged everywhere as Blood donation is one of the most significant contributions that a person can make towards the society.
